We take food safety and product quality very seriously
Royal Canin Canada’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility demonstrates our commitment to rigorous food safety and exceptional product quality. Our facility, located in Puslinch, Ontario, consists of a kibble manufacturing plant and two laboratories dedicated to maintaining our industry-leading standards both nationally and globally.
To produce our wide range of pet food products we require more than 115 different raw ingredients, many of which are sourced within Canada. Suppliers must submit to a thorough auditing process on a regular basis to maintain their contract with Royal Canin. Additionally, every batch of raw ingredient arriving at our plant must first pass a number of comprehensive analytical tests to ensure it meets our stringent safety and quality standards before it's accepted into the plant. A representative sample is retained from each batch of raw ingredient to allow complete traceability back to the supplier.
During our manufacturing and packaging processes, food safety and product quality are always the highest priority. Strict biosecurity regulations, numerous screening systems, and rigorous analytical testing throughout manufacturing are in place to ensure that each batch of kibble meets precise safety, quality, and nutritional parameters. Each bag of kibble is uniquely labelled to allow complete traceability of the product and a sample from every batch of kibble is retained.
We take food safety and product quality very seriously. Our industry-leading standards, internationally recognized certifications, and accountability ensure that your pet receives precisely balanced nutrition of exceptional safety and quality.
